The first mention of the house was found in the summer of 1846. According to the archives and the testimonies of the witnesses, the house served for a period of time as a school for local children.

The current renovation of the Old School has been going on for several long years. During the renovations, we saved everything that survived – wooden ceilings, floors, doors and many other components. All the furniture has been sensitively restored to show its forgotten beauty. Restoring the Old School has become our hobby and we have put our hearts into it. This is also why we have managed to build a pleasant background from which our guests will feel the spirit of the old times.

The Old School is located in the picturesque town of Krásná Lípa, which is the center of the Czech Switzerland National Park. You can combine your stay here with a visit to Saxon Switzerland, the Elbe Sandstone Mountains or visit the nearby Lusatian Mountains. The town itself offers many activities and interesting places that will also make your stay more interesting.

Stará Škola offers 3 apartments with accommodation for up to 12 guests. There is a garden with a pergola and barbecue, a stone seating area with a fireplace, a terrace with a barbecue, a small playground with toys and a trampoline. You can also make use of private parking, a coffee machine with coffee beans and the possibility of renting city bikes. You can also buy beer from the local brewery Falkenštejn.
